چکیده
Through a comprehensive regional systematic collection, we conducted genetic diversity analysis of wild red-fruited Lycium resources across the entire northwest region China. This study provides valuable basis for germplasm exploration and selection new varieties. Utilizing fluorescence capillary electrophoresis, carefully screened 16 pairs SSR primers exhibiting high polymorphism. Subsequently, inferred through structure clustering, UPGMA analysis, molecular AMOVA. The 113 barbarum samples collected from China exhibited distinct subgroups, namely Qinghai–Gansu–Ningxia subgroup Xinjiang subgroup. These subgroups were clearly distinguishable based on clustering. within was remarkably rich, as indicated by mean I value 1.04, He 0.57, PIC 0.73. Notably, majority (72.99%) found populations, signifying substantial intrapopulation variation. Furthermore, our findings revealed significant differentiation among with Fst 0.27 gene flow Nm estimated at 0.68. suggests that variation levels in notably high, primarily driven pronounced populations. Nonetheless, it is important to note predominantly persists observed subpopulation regions can be attributed geographical isolation. barriers have played pivotal role shaping populations region. Consequently, sheds light complex landscape Northwest highlights significance considering both within-population population conservation breeding programs.

Characterization of the Lycium barbarum fruit transcriptome and development of EST-SSR markers
Lycium barbarum, commonly known as goji, is important in Chinese herbal medicine and its fruit is a very important agricultural and biological product. However, the molecular mechanism of formation of its fruit and associated medicinal and nutritional components is unexplored. Moreover, this species lacks SSR markers due to lack of genomic and transcriptomic information. In this study, a total ...

Objective(s):Sub-health has been described as a chronic condition of unexplained deteriorated physiological function, which falls between health and illness. In the present study, we evaluated the effects of Lycium barbarum polysaccharide (LBP), a polysaccharide fraction purified from Lycium barbarum (L. barbarum) on the sub-health mice. Materials and Methods:The sub-health model mice were buil...

Lycii Fructus was used as natural products with therapeutic properties for a long time. Betaine is a natural amino acid and one of the major constituents of Lycii Fructus. It is reported that this fruit plays a role in reducing blood levels of homocysteine, a toxic byproduct of the amino acid metabolism. This study was used to establish infra based on oriental medicine through the analysis of c...

BACKGROUND Lycii Cortex (LyC), composed of Lycium chinense and Lycium barbarum cortex and having the Chinese name Digupi, is used to treat chronic diseases like cough, hypertension, and diabetes in Eastern Asia. However, chromatographic methods, such as TLC and HPLC, to determine the phytochemical composition of LyC have not been included in any official compendiums. This study aims to establis...

This study was performed to evaluate the in vitro antioxidant and antimicrobial activities and the polyphenolic content of Lycium barbarum L. and L. chinense Mill. leaves. The different leave extracts contain important amounts of flavonoids (43.73 ± 1.43 and 61.65 ± 0.95 mg/g, respectively) and showed relevant antioxidant activity, as witnessed by the quoted methods. Qualitative and quantitativ...
